A community of young adults pursuing Jesus together in real life.

The Pursuit is Bethany’s young adults ministry for ages 18 to 30. It meets on Monday nights in the Next-Gen Building and is built around worship, biblical encouragement, discipleship, and meaningful Christian community.

This is a place for young adults who want more than just a casual gathering. It is a place to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and keep following Jesus in a stage of life that is often full of change, questions, responsibility, and big decisions.

Why The Pursuit Matters

Young adulthood is too important to try to walk through alone.

The years between 18 and 30 often come with major life transitions. People are making decisions about school, work, relationships, purpose, identity, and what it looks like to follow Jesus with maturity. That season can feel exciting, but it can also feel unstable and isolating.

The Pursuit exists to create a Christ-centered community in the middle of that season. It is a place where young adults can be known, strengthened by truth, encouraged through relationships, and reminded that spiritual growth is not something they were meant to figure out by themselves.

Discipleship & Community

A ministry shaped by worship, Scripture, prayer, and real Christian friendships.

The Pursuit is not just about gathering a crowd. It is about helping young adults grow as disciples of Jesus in the context of a healthy, encouraging community.

What shapes the ministry

The Pursuit is built around spiritual formation and relational connection, so that growth is not just talked about, but actually practiced together.

1
Worship that helps young adults slow down, focus on the Lord, and respond with sincerity.
2
Biblical encouragement and teaching that connect truth to real decisions, real struggles, and real life.
3
Prayer and spiritual conversation that move beyond surface-level interaction and help people grow deeper.
4
Consistent Christian community where friendships can form naturally and faith can be strengthened over time.

What to expect

A welcoming place where new people can step in without feeling like outsiders.
A spiritual emphasis that is grounded, relational, and centered on Jesus.
A community that values both truth and genuine connection.

A community that's engaged, welcoming, and spiritually alive.

The Pursuit is about more than showing up to a meeting. It is about building a real sense of belonging while growing together in Christ.

Special Events

Extra gatherings that strengthen both worship and friendship.

The Pursuit also includes special events throughout the year that create additional opportunities for community, worship, and meaningful connection.

Worship Nights

Intentional evenings focused on worship, response, and seeking the Lord together.

Worship Nights give young adults space to step out of the normal weekly pace and focus deeply on the Lord. These gatherings help create moments of spiritual reflection, shared worship, and deeper sensitivity to what God is doing.

They also reinforce that The Pursuit is not built only around social connection, but around pursuing Christ together in a real and meaningful way.

Fellowship Events

Relational events that help friendships grow beyond the weekly gathering.

Fellowship Events create additional room for fun, conversation, and time together in a more relaxed setting. They help newer people connect more naturally and help existing friendships deepen in a genuine way.

These events are part of what makes The Pursuit feel like a real young adult community rather than just another meeting on the schedule.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
